Elections

The three members of the Belle Plaine Town Board were re-elected in the April 2 spring election.

Chairman Alvin Bartz received 337 votes, with write-in candidate Curt Korth getting 130 votes. For Supervisor 1, incumbent Harold Polzin got 275 votes to beat challenger Aaron Retzlaff’s 219. And for Supervisor 2, incumbent Dennis Thornton ran unopposed, receiving 437 votes.

Unopposed incumbent Bob Holzback got 177 votes for a six-year term on the Cloverleaf Lakes Sanitary District commission.

In Shawano, three seats on the school board went to Diane Hoffman (incumbent) with 2,168 votes, Chris Gull with 1,592 and Mart Grams with 1,432. Incumbent Starlyn Rose Tourtillott finished fourth with 1,336 votes.

 

 

In the Clintonville School District, challenger Patrick Danforth is challenging incumbents Mark Zachow and Lori Jean Poppe. Two of the three will be elected.
