Town of Belle Plaine Dog Licenses required
All dogs in the Town of Belle Plaine must be licensed and have proof of vaccination per Wisconsin statute 174.05(1)(1) stated below. Property owners need to notify their renters they are required to purchase a dog license for their dogs.
174.05(1)(1) Requirement. Except as provided in s. 174.054, the owner of a dog more than 5 months of age on January 1 of any year, or 5 months of age within the license year, shall annually, or on or before the date the dog becomes 5 months of age, pay the dog license tax and obtain a license.
The fees are: $5.00 for a neutered male or spayed female and $10.00 for an unneutered male or an unsprayed female. All checks should be payable to the Town of Belle Plaine. Please use the enclosed dog license form to fill in the information and mail dog license form and payment with a separate check to:

Dog tags will be mailed to residents.
