Welcome to the Town of Belle Plaine website. Belle Plaine is just south of the city of Shawano in north central Wisconsin. With a population of 1,855, it is largely rural and includes several lakes, including Cloverleaf and Long lakes, and a portion of the Wolf River. Main highways running through it are U.S. 29 and Wisconsin 22. Our town celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2008.

BELLE PLAINE COMMUNITY CENTER TAX COLLECTION December 2018 Friday, December 28, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. January 2019 Thursday, January 31, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Or, you may leave your tax bill and check at the Associated Bank-Shawano location. First Installment Due January 31, 2019 to the Belle Plaine Treasurer Second Installment Due July 31, 2019 to County Treasurer, Debra Wallace, 311 N. Main Street, Shawano, WI 54166 If the first installment is not paid by January 31, 2019, the entire tax is due to the Shawano County Treasurer. Please read the back side of your green property tax bill for failure to pay timely. Thank You! _________________________________________________________________________________________ Dog Licenses 

All dogs in the Town of Belle Plaine must be licensed and have proof of vaccination. Property owners need to notify their renters that they are required to purchase a dog license for their dogs. The fees are: $5.00 for a neutered male or spayed female and $10.00 for an unneutered male or an unsprayed female. All checks should be payable to the Town of Belle Plaine. Please use the form on the DOGS page to fill in the information.

Residents can either leave their dog license form and payment with the Town Treasurer on tax collection days or mail their dog license form and a separate check for payment to: Town of Belle Plaine (Attn: Dog License) Kay Kristof, Treasurer N2940 Spruce Road Clintonville, WI 54929 Residents will receive their dog tags in the mail, after the dog license form and payment have been received.
